About Me

BCParks-20120915-Capture0011Photography started out as a hobby for me when I was very young, snapping pictures on a cheap, plastic 110 camera. The results, of course, were magical in a way only a child could truly appreciate. I was hooked. Inheriting my dad’s Konica T4, I entered the 35mm film world and ran off to explore it with gusto (much to the chagrin of my friends).

Ten thousand shots later, I shelved the film cameras and entered a new realm: digital. I was hooked again. And so the adventure continues! Photography continues to challenge and amaze me. The more I learn, the more I continually find myself pushing the boundaries by exploring new techniques.

I’m also a huge dork, which I can only hope comes through in my work.

For those interested, here is a list of photographers that I have either had the pleasure of working with, gotten to know, been taught by (all of them), or drawn inspiration from (again, all of them):

Peter Yang (portraiture master) at Peter Yang Pictures
Trey Ratcliff (HDR guru) at Stuck In Customs
Max McDonald at MondayShift
Marisa White at White Sparks Photography
