I’ve added a new section to the photography dropdown, high dynamic range (HDR) photography! I’m really excited about this section because I’ve been waiting for a while now to try shooting some of these (although, to be honest, the shooting wasn’t so much the holdup as the processing).

High dynamic range photography deals with taking multiple, bracketed exposures of the same image that can be later combined to reflect the entire tonal range of a scene. The technique can yield some pretty breathtaking results. Most of the shots I’ve added on here have a “hyper-real” effect that can be accomplished by highlighting the tonal differences in the scene, rather than just bringing them together to create the most complete tonal range. Enjoy!
