It’s been a few days since my last post (gasp, three whole days!!!), which I can only assume is from laziness (though, I have been pretty busy lately).
But today is a new day and I’m back in business. Been working on a lot of non-HDR photos recently. I feel like I’ve been pigeonholing myself with the HDR stuff, but what can I say? I love HDR and have been struggling with my technique ever since I started. It’s great fun and never ceases to give me new and surprising results each time. (more…)

Here’s a smattering of photos from Barcelona that haven’t been posted yet. Don’t worry, this will be the end of Spain for now!
Most of these were taken from around the Hotel ARTS, but I threw in a few from the empty airport in Barcelona. We got there around four in the morning and there was hardly a soul in sight. It wasn’t until nearly an hour later that the first travelers started trickling in. (more…)
It was a great weekend filled with wine, hamburgers, an abundance of sunshine, and numerous visits from the local swallows that have taken up residence in our complex.
We started off the weekend with a bang by attending the Burgers Meet Ham•Burgundy event at CapRock Winery. There we met the self-proclaimed Hambassador, Rick Vanderpool. The burgers were great and the wine, though not my favorite, definitely paired well with the main course (especially the Tempranillo). I still prefer their Dry Grenache Rose for sittin’ and sippin’ though! (more…)
Clapp Park was the destination of my first photo walk with the Lubbock Camera Club. Being relatively new to the camera club, it was nice to see some of the members in action (you can learn a lot just by watching them shoot).
